Public Speaking & TRAINING WORKSHOPS WE OFFER
We at The Christian Closet are not only a group of skilled, queer Christian therapists, but we also lead interactive/experiential workshops, present as keynote speakers at conferences, as well as conduct trainings for church staff and clergy on moving towards inclusion. We provide a unique perspective as we ourselves are LGBTQI Christians and we also walk with others helping them to understand the dynamics at play within their lives.
I was one of the keynote speakers at the Together In This event at Eastlake Church. I was asked to share my story of my wife and I trying to find a church as a lesbian Christian couple.
I was interviewed on a conservative Christian radio station and the show is called, Educate For Life. He asked me lots of questions that non-affirming Christians tend to express to LGBTQ Christians.
Brandan Robertson interviewed me for the Imago Dei Summit. We talk all things Lgbtq and Christian. (Not a great recording).
I was a part of the NALT (Not All Christians Are Like That) video series. The purpose was to show not all Christians are non-affirming.
This is my workshop from The Reformation Project Conference. The workshop was titled, Why Does Self Acceptance Matter? I focused on themes of internalized homophobia, self acceptance and story.
